What's Up With THAT?!

This could possibly become one of my randomest posts ever, but they're all pretty random, right?? Ok, so this all started about 2 weeks ago when I was watching Pretty Little Liars and like Spencer or Emily or someone was eating toast. I was like "Hey! That looks good! Ugh but regular toast is so gross..." And then an idea popped into my head.
Yep, peanut butter:) Ever since then I have eaten SO MUCH peanut butter toast that sometimes I eat it twice a day now/: That's a LOT of peanut butter toast!! But it's so good!! And when I say peanut butter I don't mean the wimpy creamy stuff, I'm talkin 'bout the hard core EXTRA CRUNCHY!! Yummm... my mouth is watering even though I just had a piece like 20 minutes ago. See?! What's up with this?? It's kinda freaking me out!! I've never really liked toast that much before now! It's like a super weird, super yummy addiction! And I don't know what to do about it!! I'm so weird...
As a side note, my small group meets at Starbucks on Saturday mornings (totally fun btw:) and last week, my friend Willard (Willard is actually a girl fyi, Willard is what I call her cuz she is SO much like Willard in Footloose!! The new one, of course...) and I got the Pumpkin Spice latte. Hehe... you all know how much I love fall and anything associated with fall, so this was heaven for me! Y'all should DEF go out and get it, it brightened up my whole day:) That was also the same day as homecoming but those are two different stories;) I'll probably devote a post in the very near future to my bible study small group cuz I totally love it. I think everyone should be a part of a small group... Ok gotta go, homework is calling *ugh* Will post again soon:)

Welcome Back, Autumn:)

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF FALL!!!!!!! Ok so a little while ago I posted my end-of-summer bucket list and promised that I would update y'all on which ones I completed:) soooooo... (drumroll please!) here it is!!
•outside barefoot dance party👍
•sleepover outside👎
•go to a creek👎
•color a GIANT poster👍
•give myself an awesome pedi👍
•watch TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES!!👍
•make up a dance👍
•awesome costume planning with my friends👍
•bike to park and picnic👍
•start workouts👍
Ok so first was the outside barefoot dance party which DID happen, but it wasn't barefoot cuz it was at a barn that ha sharp stuff on the ground that woulda killed our feet. I didn't get to sleep outside because almost every single night after I set that goal we had freezing cold nights so my trampoline would have turned me in to a popsicle haha:) My friend's creek was dried up so that didn't work, but I did color this HUGE poster!! It has mermaids on it:) I painted my toes bubblegum pink and put little hearts on them (which I hardly ever have the patience for). Of COURSE I watched TMNT... duh. I made up a really short dance to Cher Lloyd's "Never Grow Up" and costume preparations have began hehe I'm not gonna tell you what we are going as tho, so you'll have to wait until October 31st for a pic!! I walked over to a local playground with some friends and we ate ice cream so I counted that as the picnic. Finally, I got the Nike Training Center app a while ago and started using it about 2-3 times a week:) this is the most amazing app ever and it was free!! If you can, go download it right now!! It's great:) well that's all for today, I'm gonna go light some scented candles and welcome autumn:) I hope y'all have a great fall!!!

Tea Post

Have you ever had tea? Not exactly something that most American high school girls indulge in, but I guess I'm not "normal" then. Right now it is raining outside (I love it when it rains!!) so I am sitting inside enjoying a piping hot cuppa and writing on the awesomest blog you've ever read:) Lately I've really been into green tea with honey cuz it's sweet and relaxing. Ok, I know that none of you guys wanna hear about my green tea obsession, so I'm gonna tell you about something I've picked up lately: meditative yoga. It's basically yoga in which you sit in the lotus position for about half of the time and try to relieve your body of stress. Now, by "meditative" I don't mean that I pray to the Buddah or anything (trust me, I am a strong Christian girl who is stuck in her ways and true to her Creator and Savior), I'm just relaxing and trying to focus on nothingness for about 10 minutes. This is, like, REALLY hard for all of you out there who have never tried it. Another favorite of mine lately is veggies from our garden. So, you're probably like "What's up with the tea, health foods, and yoga?". Or maybe you don't care. Anyway, lately I've really been trying to work some goals into my life, these being some of them. These things are all very healthy and good for you; I've only got one body, so I say I might as well go for it now! A final "health goal" of mine lately is journaling. Keeping a journal is great, it's like writing letters to the greatest friend you've ever had (a pro: you never have to worry about being confronted about what you write!). A certain friend of mine keeps a journal, too, but she writes hers in a code that only she knows so that no one else will ever be able to read it:) I used to have one of those Password Journals, but I later found out that it isn't sensitive to the voice that says the password. I think my brothers saw that as a challenge, like I was practically daring them to try to get into my journal. Long story short: I use a normal journal now, and have the electronic one hidden away so that it will not be found by anyone of the male species anytime in the near future. Ma tea is almost gone now, so I'm gonna sign off. Have a great day and try setting some "health goals" for yourself, I think you'll like the results;)

Happy September 1st/I LOVE B&BW!!!!

Long time no post, I know, I know. Trust me, though, I have been trying to update!! Sometimes I am writing a post and my computer will shut down and all of my progress will be lost which is what has happened multiple times now:( However, if you direct your attention to the right side of the screen --> you will see that I put a countdown widget on!! What could I possibly be counting down to that is so exciting I put it up on my blog?? THE FIRST DAY OF FALL, OF COURSE!! I don't know about y'all, but I LOVE fall!! The way it smells, the way it looks, the way it feels, all of the traditions I have for fall... it's great:) Now, there are two types of fall-lovers in this world: those who simply say "I love fall." and think that's enough on the subject, and those who go to Bath & Body Works on the first day that their fall scents are out and buy fall candles and Halloween hand sanitizer and then run around the mall screaming "I LOVE FALL OMIGOSH THIS IS SO GREAT I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL FALL!!!!!!". As you may have guessed by now, I am the first type of person. JAY KAY!!! The story of the mall is in fact a true one; you can ask my friends who had to drag me out of the mall when I entered the phase of "hysteric giggles and slight sobbing". Fall is great, y'all, but I also love summer (I love them equally but react to them in VERY different ways... maybe one day I'll tell you about my beginning-of-summer rituals). I wanna know how many of you also love fall, so I'm gonna put up a poll widget in the near-ish future that will be in the bottom corner most likely (if I can figure out how to put up another widget on my blog... the countdown got kinda sketchy at one point). Since I mentioned that I picked up some scents at Bath & Body Works a while ago, I'm gonna show you them via pictures (trust me, I will be buying plenty more fall-scented stuff before it all goes away; in fact, I already have my eye on the Cinnamon Pumpkin body wash!!).
FARMSTAND APPLE SCENTED CANDLE Omigosh I swear I think I am addicted to the smell of this candle. It smells exactly like you just bit into a fresh apple!! And I'm not talking "fresh" like what you get at the grocery, I mean when you go out to an orchard and pick the apple off the tree for yourself! Yum!!!!
PUMPKIN CARAMEL LATTE CANDLE If you have never smelled this candle, you need to go to you nearest Bath & Body Works right now and smell it. It's ok, I'll be waiting here. Go. (...) Welcome back!! So what did you think? The scent that you just smelled is the very definition of fall to me. Funny thing, though, I've never had a latte before in my life. I'm not allowed to have large amounts of caffeine like coffee because I become "way too easily excitable". In case you havn't realized yet, I'm always like that!! When I lived at my other house in a different state (it was the most beautiful house ever on a beautiful yard and with beautiful trees and it was beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!!) this was what fall smelled like. It was almost like someone lit millions of these little candles in our neighborhood and just left them burning all fall. Also, I think maybe my grandparents have/had one of these candles cuz their house smells like this a lot. LOVE IT!!
"BOO!" HALLOWEEN-THEMED SCENTED ANTI-BACTERIAL HAND GEL Wow I didn't realize how long that name is... basically this is just marshmallow scented hand sanitzer with a ghost on it. Pretty awesome, right?! I got this because I have a little hand sanitizer thingy on my backpack and I like to switch out the scents every once in a while. I'm gonna keep my summer one on a little longer and then put this on. Honestly, this doesn't smell like marshmallows, it just smells like sugar had sanitizer, but it's the theme that counts, right? Yeah... not totally in love with this one, maybe I'll just keep in on for October and use a different fall scent for September and November.
Ok, so I think that you get the jist of how much I love the way fall smells (and how addicted I am to Bath & Body Works). I will keep y'all posted on anything else "fall-ish" I encounter. I wanna share one of my favorite times of the year with you!! Go drink a pumpkin caramel latte for me!!

F is for Friends Who Do Stuff Together!!

Technically, I'm a city girl because that's where I live. However, one of my BFFLs Willard lives on a farm. Going to her house is soooo awesome for me because a) it honestly feels like my second home we are so close and b) I get to live the farm life with her for a couple hours!!! I just got home from hanging out with Willard and another of my BFFLs Brown Eyed Girl. We helped do the chicken chores, cat chores, an clean the barn. When we were done we swung on her rope swing in their hayloft. Then we went outside and it started raining:) I LOVE when it rains!! Rain is soothing and relaxing for me. It's even one of my most used settings on my white noise machine that I use at night! We had chocolate chip pancakes and bacon and I realized... life is good. When you have those friends that are pretty much family and that you can share anything with, you've found good people in your life. It's even more of a blessing when your families are close, too, and you do almost everything together:) So I guess a way to sum up this post is that I think everyone should be fortunate enough to have best friends for life that you know are true, and it feels really great to have them!! That's all for today, go tell your BFFLs you love them (in a not weird way)!!!!!

I'm So Sorry That I'm Pointing This Out to Y'all...

Today during cheer practice, someone passed out some Bath&Body Works hand sanitizer. It was candy apple scented, and it reminded me of fall:) Then I realized that it's almost fall. OMIGOSH!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL OF SUMMER?!?! So then I freaked out a little bit and realized that I need an end-of-summer bucket list. The first day of fall is September 22. That's not that far away!!! I decided that I would post it on my blog, because I wanna share this idea with everyone else. Here it goes!!

1. Have a dance party with my friends outside. Barefoot.
2. Sleepover outside!!
3. Go to a creek (possibly yours, Willard??)
4. Color a GIANT poster
5. Get a super cute pedicure to rock with flip-flops!
6. Watch TMNT (oh wait that's always on my list:)
7. Make up a dance
8. Start planning a Halloween costume (long story why I do that in the summer)
9. Bike to the local lake and have a picnic
10. Start a daily workout/running training

And there you have it, folks!! My end-of-summer (sniff, sniff) bucket list!! Now I'll just try to complete them all! I'll write a post on the first day of fall and let y'all know what I completed! I def suggest this to y'all cuz it helps you realize what you want to get done. Plus, if you are ever bored between now and the last day of summer, you'll have a list of awesome activities to choose from:) Happy rest of the summer!! EMBRACE IT!!! Love y'all!!!

"You're turtles?" "Yeah, of the Teenage Mutant Ninja variety!!"

I would like to write this post as a tribute to one of the most important group of heros in my life...
sourceTHE TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES!!! (Turtles in a half-pipe... TURTLE POWER!!) If you have no idea who the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are, you better learn or I will never be able to be your friend. I don't know what it is about these turtle ninjas I am so in love with but they are the awesomest creatures that have ever been a part of this world. For those of you who know nothing about the TMNTs, here is your crash course: four mutant turtles named Leonardo (blue mask), Donatello (purple mask), Raphael (red mask), and Michelangelo (orange mask) are united by there adopted father/sensei Splinter who is a mutant rat trained in the ways of ninjusto. They live in a sewer, like skateboarding, and eat a lot of pizza. Oh yeah, and they are the awesomest cartoon characters EVER!!! So, I am aware of how random this post is, but I just wanted to share my love of these guys with you AND the fact that I just learned today that there is a TMNT TV series coming out this year AND a movie in 2013!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Y'all I am SO excited!!!!!! You might think that I am a total nerd for loving them (not that I care what you think of my obsession lol), but they really are the most kick-butt and awesome cartoons I have ever seen. If you love them too, please leave a comment letting me know. We can become best friends:) Thanks for reading!!
xoxo~Kat
P.S. My lifelong dream is to own one of these backpacks. Only then will my life be complete:) TMNT FTW!!!!

The End is Near!! Oops Just Kidding...

Boo!! Did I scare you?!

Last night some friends and I were talking about what we are afraid of. Simple question, right? Well, not really. I was finally able to answer that the only thing that I'm afraid of is clowns, but while trying to discover this I realized something about myself: what most people consider "scary" I consider exciting or awesome. A couple examples: I love heights/extreme sports, Edgar Allan Poe is my favorite poet (I love his "Buried Alive" story), and horror movies/books are just as great as action movie to me. There are some coincidences though that blow my mind such as a hearse driver found dead while transporting a body (click the link). Kinda freaky. Plus, who would want to die while driving some other dead person to their final destination?! That's almost like getting a pea stuck in your nose and you stop passing air or drowning in syrup (hehe Willard;). I honestly don't think that I could be a hearse driver, though, because I would constantly be worrying that the zombie apocalypse would just suddenly occur while I was driving ole' Mrs. Smith to the cemetery and an old lady zombie would crawl to the front of the car and rip my face off. Yep, this is how my mind works:) What are you afraid of? Luv y'all and good luck on finding your zombie apocalypse hiding spot!! (mine is my closet!!)

Hunger Games DVD Release!!!

GUESS WHAT TODAY IS!!!
That's right, today is the day that The Hunger Games comes out on DVD!!! I don't know about you guys, but I'm psyched! However, I will not be getting it today because I am to impatient to try to go find a store that hasn't run out of copies yet. I'll get it someday, though! Okay the thing about this movie is that I didn't like it as much as the book. The camera is REALLY shaky and they leave out a TON of stuff (ex. Katniss' loss of hearing, Peeta's amputation, the avoxes, Katniss' inner struggle with pretending to love Peeta, and probably most importantly... hunger. Nobody is ever hungry and they find food early--this is suppose to be the HUNGER games after all...). Also, I didn't cry during Rue's death scene. It's not like I'm a heartless person or anything, but I thing they butchered it and made it not that sad. Aside from all of that, though, I love the cast!
Jennifer Lawrence nailed her part (she might have a harder time with Catching Fire and Mockingjay but I guess we'll just have to wait and see) and I'm actually looking forward to House at the End of the Street because she stars in it (and it looks really good). Next is Josh Hutcherson.
Omigosh all of my friends and I have a MEGA crush on this child-actor-turned-hunk. He does a great job with the whole baker's son thing, and his love for Katniss is REALLY convincing! I loved him in Journey 2 and was SO excited when I found out he would be playing Peeta:)
So now that I've raved about my two favorites I should probably say I hate Liam Hemsworth (I prefer his older, hotter brother Chris). It's a good thing that he got cast as Gale, then because I also hate Gale. Not that I'm Team Peeta or anything cuz I'm not (that's a long story). Since he is just a supporting character, however, I'm going to say it isn't as bad as it could be, because it honestly isn't. I mean, imagine if he had been cast as Peeta *shudder* Alright I've ranted enough for now:) Luv y'all and go buy The Hunger Games!!!

Share a Lil' Love with the World:)

Hi World:)

Yesterday my friends were telling me about their Spanish class (they have the cool teacher, I have the teacher that stands at the front of the room and talks because that is just how my life works) and they had these weird yarn necklaces thingys on. After I stared at them for a while trying to figure them out, they explained them to me. Basically, they were suppose to rip off a piece of yarn and give it to random people followed by a compliment said in Spanish (sidenote: If the compliment is in Spanish, no one is going to understand it. They are probably just going to stare at you like you were snorting noodles up your nose and then get away from you as quickly as possible, leaving you standing there stupidly with a piece of yarn in your hand. Sounds like a sketchy "assignment", but I still wish I could trade in Spanish teachers.). Anyway, even though it was really weird it got me thinking about how this world NEEDS people to share the love. My genius idea? Start a blog. In retrospect it was probably the randomest idea I could have possibly come up with since it has more to do with me making people read what I have to say than complimenting them and "sharing the love". I don't even care if nobody ever reads a single word that I type, I'm doing this to contribute my thoughts to the world. I'm still not positive what the heck I'm going to post on here, but if you bear with me I'm sure things can only get better. *fingers crossed* Have a beautiful day and thanks for reading this:) Until next time!
